We are a growth-oriented Delaware limited partnership formed by El Paso Corporation to own and operate natural gas transportation pipelines, storage and other midstream assets. Our assets consist of Wyoming Interstate Company, Ltd. (WIC), a wholly-owned interstate pipeline transportation business primarily located in Wyoming and Colorado. We also own a 58 percent interest in Colorado Interstate Gas Company (CIG), an interstate pipeline company which is located in the Rocky Mountains, a 51 percent interest in Southern LNG Company, L.L.C. (SLNG), which owns an LNG storage and regasification terminal near Savannah, Georgia, a 51 percent interest in El Paso Elba Express Pipeline Company (Elba Express), an interstate pipeline company which is located in Georgia and South Carolina, and a 45 percent interest in Southern Natural Gas Company (SNG), an interstate natural gas company located in the southeastern United States.
Combined, these businesses consist of approximately 12,800 miles of pipeline and associated storage facilities with aggregate storage capacity of approximately 102 billion cubic feet (Bcf). References to “we” and “our” refer to the operations of 100 percent of WIC, as well as our general partner interests in CIG, SNG, SLNG and Elba Express. El Paso operates and owns the remaining general partner interests.
We intend to use the significant experience of El Paso’s management team to execute our growth strategy, including the construction, development and acquisition of additional energy infrastructure assets. El Paso is the largest operator of interstate natural gas pipelines in North America. As of December 31, 2009, El Paso owned or had interests in about 42,000 miles of interstate pipeline and provides approximately 230 Bcf of natural gas storage capacity. Its networks connect major domestic natural gas producing basins to major domestic consuming markets.
